Y.O.Us Accessibility Study

Y.O.Us accessibility study will offer you a first-hand insight into the right approach to not only ensuring your facilities and services are accessible for your disabled customers but even down to advising you on the small things such as what type of straws you stock.

Nothing is too big or small. We will ensure you are inclusive for all.

After all, it is the smallest detail that can make the biggest difference to someone’s customer experience and to whether or not they will be a returning customer.

 â€‹

Y.O.U’s accessibility is in not aimed at criticising your existing facilities and disabled access but rather as a way of assisting you to improve the services and facilities you already have and as an opportunity for you to benefit from the first-hand knowledge and experience that Y.O.U can provide.

Y.O.U’s pilot accessibility study is offering:-

An assessment and evaluation of your facilities for disabled people including but no limited to bedrooms, bathrooms, leisure facilities, restaurants, and any other facilities accessed by customers.

During this assessment Y.O.U will be using their Avatar scoring system. This will mean you can connect the assessment with Y.O.U as a business.

The ratings that the Avatar rating system will award an appropriate number of Avatars in line with the existing facilities and assess ability of your business and be awarded in a point system as appropriate.

On completion of the assessment Y.O.U will then provide your hotel with an honest and unbiased report about your business and how to improve if required.

This report will also include recommendations on how to implement any improvement or changes. Within this the organisation will also offer support in implementing these changes as well as offering the opportunity to revisit the business once the changes have been made to assess their impact.

Y.O.U will award your business a certificate highlighting that the grade in which your hotel received as part of the accessibility study as well as a letter that breaks it down and explains how this has been awarded. Both of which you can display in your businesses reception area as a way of evidencing that you were part of Y.O.U’s accessibility study and what your business gained from it. As well as this it being another way of making the connection between the accessibility study and Y.O.U as an organisation
